Beyond the Business

Dear Friend,

I wanted to share a short update with you about something that has been developing over the past few months at Collective Calling.

When we launched Values in Action, the idea was simple: to recognise and celebrate businesses that are already living meaningful values within their organisations, and explore what might happen if those same values were given the opportunity to travel beyond the business and into the lives of others.

We were never interested in telling businesses what their values should be, or teaching them how to live them.

We wanted to find what was already there.

And now, as our partnerships deepen, we're beginning to see what happens when those values travel.

CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT — DRUMELIA

With Drumelia, we have been exploring Continuous Development, a value already deeply embedded within their culture.

For us, the exciting part is seeing where that value can go next.

Through their partnership with Collective Calling, Continuous Development is now travelling from the environment they've created within their business to street-connected children in Tanzania.

Children who have come from incredibly difficult circumstances are being given access to education, stability, encouragement and an environment in which they can continue developing towards their own potential.

Two very different worlds, connected by the same value.

EMPOWERMENT — MANIFESTO

With Manifesto, the value we're celebrating is Empowerment.

Within their business, that begins with leadership empowering people, trusting them, developing them and giving them the opportunity to take ownership.

Now we're exploring how that same value can travel into our work with people experiencing homelessness through the Mobile Shower Unit.

Because the shower is only the starting point.

A shower can restore dignity for a moment. But through relationships, encouragement and opportunities to take steps forward, the aim is always greater: to help someone begin to regain ownership of their own life.

Empowerment travels.

WHEN VALUES TRAVEL

This is where Values in Action is becoming particularly exciting for us.

We're not bringing values into these businesses.

We're discovering them there.

We're celebrating the people and cultures already living them, and then, together, creating opportunities for those values to travel somewhere completely different.

From a business in Marbella to a child growing up in Tanzania.

From an empowered team to someone rebuilding their life on the streets of Spain.

And we're only at the beginning of discovering how far those values can travel.
