Will You Sponsor Wensia?

Wensia is a bright and artistic young girl who, along with her two younger sisters, experienced a traumatic start in life. In 2019, their mother—who suffered from severe mental health issues—disappeared, leaving the girls abandoned. Their father, battling alcoholism, was unable to care for them. In 2021, they were rescued and brought to the Centre of Hope, where they finally found safety, love, and stability.

Now in her third year of secondary school, Wensia is bravely battling sickle cell anaemia, yet continues to push forward—studying English, excelling academically, and dreaming of a brighter future.

Thanks to a previous sponsorship, Wensia was able to attend private school for the past two years, where smaller class sizes, focused teaching, and a nurturing environment allowed her to flourish. But due to unforeseen circumstances, that sponsorship has come to an end—and Wensia now has two years left to complete her secondary education.

We urgently need to find a sponsor to ensure Wensia can finish her schooling in a setting where she can thrive. Without support, her education will be disrupted, and she will have no choice but to return to an overcrowded government school, where:

• Classes often exceed 100 students

• Individual attention is nearly impossible

• Learning materials are outdated and extremely limited
